Never seen Kelis live. Neither has Mrs 4AM. Thinking she may be our Friday headliner, but can’t see on setlist fm any sets and suspect I may not know that much of the back catalogue. So…

Anyone seen her and would recommend?

Anyone got a link to any setlists?

Saw her in 2018 headlining Leopallooza. An excellent live performance although on a much smaller stage than West Holts. She’s featured (with Calvin Harris, ODB, Andre 3000…) on a lot of very recognisable tracks that she plays in her live set.

I was surprised by the West Holts announcement, but looking at the alternatives, I could easily find myself there on the Friday night

It'll be really interesting to see her crowd size up against the Arctic Ms and Hot Chip. I saw her in 2010, obv a long long time ago and she was good fun, think it was on the Pyramid, but would be surprised if she had a huge crowd Friday night.

Feel like she's well-known by name, but not that popular in general.

She'll be great, an archetypal WH booking

Think it’s between her and the Manics at the Park , if that’s confirmed, for us. Will be a great night.

I saw Kelis at V, must have been somewhere between 2005/7

Not a great experience to be honest. I was only there so I could get to the front for Groove Armada after her. She was sooooo late on stage the crowd started throwing bottles at the stage and surging. Luckily I was on my own so could just look after myself but people were climbing under the tent sides to get out.

I endured it.

GA rocked it when it was their turn 🥳

That's bound to put anyone off before a set even starts but sounds like classic nobby v-fest behaviour

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
