No, that was "pre-pre-announcement" stage, in that there'll probably be one before the end of the month (which itself would be a couple of weeks earlier than last year) but we'll get a date first.

Will we? I thought they just normally post the second load of names without announcing a date first.

It's what I thought they did, but now I check last year the message was "we've got some news for you next week" with no specific date given, so you're probably right. Manchester Psych is teasing a second full announcement too.

Yeah yeah yeahs/Perfume genius song Spitting off the edge of the world on the latest Eotr ‘Spring’ playlist.
Does that mean what I think it means?

Presumably not, I’ve just noticed Lou Reed on the same playlist… but still… I remain hopeful.

Forwards (Bristol over the same weekend) announces tomorrow.

Actually not much potential here except maybe Viagra Boys, if you take out those who would likely have been headliners.

Amyl & the Sniffers, Jockstrap and Confidence Man are all there, though, which leads me to wonder if that second level weakness we've talked about is partly due to Green Man getting in first for all three and maybe others (Walkmen)

Aphex Twin smashing out squelchy acid on the Woods Stage would incredible. We already have a more experimental line up this year so he'd be the icing on the cake (although I'm guessing a very expensive icing)

Seems like I forgot all the headliners have been announced. Oh well. Get him DJing on the cider bus instead so we don't have to listen to the shite that normally drifts over the campsite at 3am.

It's another Pulp situation, I think - just because he was announced for one (Field Day) doesn't mean he'd have even been in the frame practically anywhere else even if he had the choice to turn them down.

Katy J Pearson seems more likely. She's not at Green Man, has released a new album since she played EotR in 2021 and would go some way to filling the mid-table gap inhabited by Weather Station, Cassandra Jenkins, Anaïs Mitchell etc last year.

    • 1000% agree with this. I was there last night, ridiculous how good he was.
    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
