Is there any chance to have The Human League and/or Natalie Imbruglia at Sziget, what do you think? They're playing a festival in Belgium in August.

The Human League would be interesting in A38 spot as they had Goo Goo Dolls few years ago.

Would you prefer The Strokes or Guns & Roses ? 😉 I still hope Green Day will finally pop up, but... 😕

And in the names i've seen on other fests', I'd take Turnstile, Aurora, Wet leg, Rina Sawayama, Shaka Ponk, Aime Simone, and ROBIN SCHULZ of course !

Guns & Roses announce somethig today..maybe not for Sziget, but still, if their "waking up" can motivate some others... ^^

GNR announced a separate gig in Budapest in July. Another rock band to cut down fron the potential Sziget list.

Fall Out Boy's tour dates seem to line them up for a potential one-off visit to Europe. Their diary is empty between 6 August and 19 August and they're not playing Hungary during their visit to Europe in Oct/Nov.

FOB are one of those weird acts who I'd class as too big to sub and not big enough to headline anymore.

They’re not coming to Europe only to play Sziget… impossible.

We'll get new names only in March right ? I really hope this is because because of a "new" headliner, who hasn't announced anything yet 🤞 because I'm quite sure The Strokes are the 1st one missing..

The headliners are missing for Sunday 13th and Monday 14th.

Unfortunately, Blur are headlining Flow Festival in Helsinki on the 13th, which means they could only headline on the 14th. The two cities are 1,000 miles apart so would require a significant overnight flight to get them to Budapest. Sadly, I can't see it happening.  

But I hope I'm wrong.

true but they are playing oya fest in norway on the 10th and way out west in sweden on the 11th which is an hour flight away. so it does show they are playing some shows in different countries back to back

They won't be flying from Oslo (Oya) to Gothenburg (Way Out West) as it's only 3 hours drive. Well, maybe Damon and the boys will fly over but most of their equipment and production will be moved by trucks.

Also, you have to consider the fact that headliners usually do soundchecks and major preparations in the morning, which mean they would have to get most their stuff from Helsinki to Budapest in less than 12 hours. That's a logistical nightmare and would be quite expensive.

And Liam. Wouldn't rule him out to co-head with someone, The Strokes, for example. Not many strong rock headliners left available.

He's not a new addition tho. Boardmasters announced him and Florence back in November. Don't see any reason why would Sziget keep him for next announcement unless he's a plan B of course.

Liam played here in 2018 as a sub and didn't do anything since then that would make him more popular than he was 5 years ago.
