same guy said 0 to a bunch of name including Fred Again
I'm pretty sure it's the three that @ReljaGajić has mentioned

we guessed Billie Eilish a while ago, M83 are playing at Grape Festival few days after Sziget and I saw that Fred Again is doing Primavera Sound in June in Barselona and Madrid 🤷‍♂️. And @Newjem I don't think it's Girl In Red since I haven't seen her around, but maybe I'm wrong

She's playing MS Dockville festival in Hamburg (18-20 August).

Is there a big name who hasn't been announced to other festivals yet?

My question for @Sziget2023_Leaks:

Organization was downgrade compared to years before.

Overcrowding, queues, dust, running order, stages, decoration... Will there be anything different, new, fixed, better? 🙂

Absolutely

Have all of the headliners been mentioned here in the forum (in any way) or will there be some unexpected name? (In any announcement batch)

I think I've probably seen all of them

AMA:

What's the % of the main stage/A38 line up that is booked at this stage?

Is the dust issue actually being taken care of? For many it's more important than names. Do the organizers believe it's a critical issue?

Can't give you exact numbers but 4 headliners and a handful of subs both on Main Stage and Freedome

If you add 1 to the date of the first and the last festival day you get 1015.

🙂

For those of us with flights and hotels already booked, please confirm the dates of the festival are remaining 9 to 14 August @Sziget2023_Leaks

oh shit.. 'already have my flights tickets... 😮

Does Sziget will tell us more TOMORROW about that ..?

If it is changing, and I hope it isn't as I've got plane tickets like you, then it has to happen tomorrow - you can't sell tickets knowing the dates are changing (although they're on sale now for potentally the wrong dates).

If it is a change in date, I don't know why they'd release that at the same time. They should announce the date change first and then line-up details a week later. Tomorrow should be a day of celebrating the line-up and it'll get overwhelmed by thousands of people whose flights are now on the wrong day.

Or the whole thing is moved so Taylor Swift (plays on 9 Aug in the US) could play at Sziget on the 15th. Or The Weeknd.

I'm not even a fan of them I just want my earlier guesses to be correct lol

no way, they would have known for way too long to wait for december to announce it

That would make sense with the 1015 and it's Thursday to the Wednesday.

Maybe they have had to change for the acts or adding a single gig at the end like the have at other festivals ?

If that's the case that's really bad planning as folk have booked flights

    • Another great weekend with family and friends.  We spend most of our time between Obelisk, and second stage due to having young children.  Overpass, Florence Road, Nathan Evans, David Byrne and Alex James were the highlights for me.  Quite enjoyed a dance to Gok Wan on the Saturday too.   Certainly feeling the Latitude blues this week and looking forward to next year.   Also looking forward to all the predictions for next year in the 2027 chat.   Hope everyone had a great festival.
    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure?   There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
    • Sounds good tbh.
    • Bristol was the only city in 2012 that voted for a mayor. We had a local independent who was popular, then Marvin Rees won and was so corrupt that Bristol voted to get rid of the position - having just had the WECA mayor position put in place as well.
    • They built a watering system and have been watering the island for the past few weeks to reduce dust, but given the current drought, there will still be dust. They will cover twice as much ground around the main stage with those plastic panels as they did before. They couldn't book Gogol Bordello because the singer was afraid the government would allow Russian security services to capture him if he entered the country. They didn't have much room to be selective about artists. They booked whoever they could get. This year's Sziget will be only about 50% of his original vision. He wanted a dedicated rock stage. They are preparing for a loss of 1.5 billion HUF this year. For some reason, student tickets are not selling in the numbers they had expected. He said that when he talks about the lineup being less important, he doesn't mean Sziget should have a weaker lineup than Primavera. Rather, it should have a similarly strong lineup combined with much more non-musical programming, so people from abroad come here to see the same artists but have a completely different overall experience. He didn't miss Sziget and originally wanted to spend no more than two days a week dealing with it, but now he's working on it full-time and has handed over control of the rest of his businesses.
