Jan 2024 election?

Nah, it’ll mostly be a VONC in Sunak as Tory leader but he’ll win and carry on as normal.

I mean...Israel's response is arguably disproportionate as it is...don't think there's a need to fudge the numbers to make it look even worse...

Israel normally runs its revenge at about

Twenty to one.

Israel is talking about a hamas tunnel network in South Gaza now. So either their intelligence is ropy or they're lying to the world.

this has all come from Sunak's silly promise to STOP THE BOATS.

I remember when Jenrick was appointed, the media viewed him as a safe pair of hands to counter Suella as Home Secretary. That worked well.

What are you on about ?

Israel are now saying they're attacking south Gaza to wipe out the tunnels, same as they said for north Gaza, seems they don't know where the tunnels are.

Remember the days and days of commentary about Starmer losing the grip on his party? Well let’s see if the same happens now.

3 headlines tonight from Guardian, Independent and Sky News:

"Robert Jenrick quits frontbench over Rwanda bill, piling pressure on Sunak"

"Robert Jenrick resigns as immigration minister over Rwanda in huge blow for Sunak"

and

"Rishi Sunak facing political fight of his life as he wars with right wing Tories over Rwanda bill"

Or you can't do everything all at once...    Its well known where the tunnels are...

Looks like pure opportunism to me. Jenrick looking for a top job in a Braverman led team.

I reckpn Braverman blew it with her hissy fit.

Reckon it will be Badenoch now. Mordaunt and Cleverly have a chance, but if they pick another right winger again I think Badenoch. Braverman won't make last two.

    • Sun's out today. Can feel the hills calling. Time to ramp up the energy levels. I've been easing my way in gently the last 2 weeks with the likes of Hayley and Lael Neale and Cut Worms and Maria Somerville etc. Time to unleash some Shame, Mogwai, Place to Bury Strangers and especially Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy.  Also, just back from a brilliant night in Belfast at the Fleadh Ceoil so anything with a fiddle or a whistle or a squeeze box is drawing me like the Sirens. Madra Salach with the volume up. COME ON!!
    • My Orange car park ticket turned up today. The envelope looked like some kind of junk mail offering me a loan so I nearly didn't open it!
    • There is a bunch of TBC acts on Deftones day, according to APE insta. The obvious guesses are Fiddlehead, Nothing, Dynamite and Make Way, "Outbreak" artists playing the night before. The question is more about how are they are gonna fit in on three big stages.    is
    • SURELY Reel Big Fish will be here?
    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
