Can we actually get an election? I know King Charlie could do something but his power is essentially ceremonial. Any hope from the politicians?

you never know...but unlikely. We'll just have to put up with it. Maybe sexy centrist Jeremy c**t can save the day.

I guess it depends on whether Tory MPs think it’s better off the party being in opposition for a bit than carrying on and risk even more damage to the brand.

Otherwise we are down to Truss calling an election.

Hunt is now the defacto PM.  Liz has zero power. Total lame duck.

Hunt is someone who will duck and dive and manipulate. He's dodgy, ad denied his family to try to hide his motivations.

Real deep question here for a Saturday- is Starmer sexier than Blair was?

but neither were as sexy as a young Gordon Brown (he didn't age well).

I dunno Brown is quite a distinguished older man.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
    • Lifelong Carlisle United supporter here.🤦‍♂️ Good luck for the coming Season and see you in October!
