I have a theory. Johnson doesn’t want this Committee hearing so what’s the only way left to not let it happen? Dissolve Parliament for a general election.

I have this feeling Johnson will try to claim the people don’t care for Partygate and will try for a new mandate.

It's changing all the time...but I think a possible outcome is they move to kick him out after locals/wakefield/Gray report, he is replaced in the summer, they get a spike in the polls and call an election early autumn before energy prices fuck everything up over the winter.

Or Johnson just stays put.

Low turnout in french election so far, could be bad news for Macron.

Yeah despite low turnout still a comfortable win for Macron. In the end Le Pen is a fascist hiding behind populism and the majority don't want fascism despite Macron... but right wing populism will be back in 2027 I'm sure. The left need to sort their shit out.

    • I'm 59. It's not so much the music as the camping/late night chaos I've grown out of at R+L. If I was still local to Leeds I might still be persuaded for a day ticket if the lineup was to my taste.
