Did you post or email?

Emails are quickly dismissed, but a hand written letter ( in your best’est handwriting) is more likely to get past the office staff .

worth a shot mate , failing that , best start the tunnelling committee .

handwritten ... I got my quill and parchment paper out :)

I wrote asking if there was anyway I could promote the love the farm leave no trace message at the 50th as thats the message my hats carry   and included some photos of me at the festival taken by the BBC and Somerset live (Explaining I hadn't had any luck in the main sale ) ... and links to the articles . The response was that they understood my disapointment and there were chances with the book , the ballot and the resale available ... but nothing too specific too my letter ... which of course I understand as they must be inundated with triers like me :)

Sorry to hear that, especially as there are so many walkabout performers etc on site that add to the experience. One more dedicated to promoting a message during the festival rather than just the message on the website would be a good addition.

Could have been in conjunction with the free press

thats the route I was trying to go down ...but ive potentially got a friend of a friend that might know someone ... its getting a bit convoluted now :) ..... I would have appeared in a shed load of private social media posts/photos promoting the message and spreading it last year so would be giving something back in my own way ....

I have to admit I was kind of hopeful ... but on a small scale ... I think I will probably be there ... but its the state of limbo im finding difficult ...thats part of the reason for the letter

It's best to try every approach you can think of, it's as frustrating as hell but I did that last year, I had some schemes I thought were good but they came to nothing, but I got there in the end. I'm absolutely sure 100% persistence will pay off.

Id say the Elton ruling himself out is good news for us resalers ... a few tickets back in the pot

Yes Elton and FM being ruled out could be a help especially if someone like The 1975 or Taylor Swift is confirmed instead as they are vastly different demographics.

the Elton/fm  thing is gonna put of some of the older generation bucket listers in my eyes .... (they might be looking through tinted specs though ) :)

Yes there was a lot of talk and rumour of heritage type acts and if they end up being quite modern then a lot of older people who are bucket listers may end up less interested. It's something to hope for at the moment anyway.

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
