El Scorcho is so decent too, rediscovering some gems amongst the shite. A few have earned themselves spots in my Spotify playlist.. now to delete them from my search history and hope they don’t show up in my daily playlists 🤞🏻

Best Weezer song of all time up in the air but I reckon the guitar bit of Buddy Holly where it goes bwee do dwee do eee oo do o dooo is top 10 music moments.

Who else watched the Buddy Holly video on repeat when they got Windows 95?

I'll be honest, I haven't paid much attention to Weezer since then, but I do still love that song.

Here's a game: try and think of another act who have such a precipitous drop from their first two LPs to the rest of their catalogue?

The Streets come to mind for starters.

Another one that comes to mind - King of Leon

Ah no Because Of The Times can definitely get it. A vertical cliff edge from there, mind.

Can't believe they headlined Glasto pre-Sex On Fire and will surely never get a chance to "grace" the Pyramid with it.

I love Because Of The Times, absolute kamikaze after that though. Still amazed they didn’t play Sex On Fire as only 3 months later it was the biggest thing on the planet.

Come on, I don’t like it either but we both know it’s kinda true for a couple of them. Actually I’ll fight myself in defence of three of them at least.

When I lost work at the start of the year I really put off doing a comprehensive job search for a while coz I thought my portfolio was shit. I delayed it and delayed it and told all my friends and family it was because of COVID but really I was unsure in my work and to a certain extent myself.

Anyhoo on an unrelated note Weezer have delayed Van Weezer until May 7th due to COVID related reasons.

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
