Are the bars cash bars or do you have to get tokens? Do they get rammed? ?

Were cash last year. Were ok most of Radiohead day.

Temperance Movement playing King Tuts at midnight after Queen finish if anyone interested.

I got myself a ticket for that. At my age a midnight gig after a day at a festival is a big ask, but I’ll give it a bash

Where would anyone recommend to go for a dance after The Killers on the Sunday night?

...........the Cathoose. But only if you like rock/metal. There will likely be a 2nd floor with trendier stuff when the town is that busy. I don't know anywhere else to go on account that I've never looked :) There used to be a good 80s/90s place but I think it's shut.

I doubt it. Bouncers are pretty hot on age checking everywhere.

Further announcements are coming on the after shows so I'm waiting for that before deciding what to do post-Killers.

Thanks both. Will keep an eye out.

The app shows Carlsberg as the only beer sponsor so it looks like it.

Absolute pisswater.

Even Carlsberg export would be better. Or, ideally, one of the beers they distribute like Mahou or Brooklyn lager

    • Chill. There is no chance Sziget will be cancelled by the government. Even the prime minister held a press conference today, where he confirmed this.   Magyar said they do not want to shut down the country or prevent events from taking place. He gave the example that vetoing an event would be like completely cutting off a large consumer’s electricity supply for the organizers. However, just as they have not taken such a measure against large consumers, they have not taken steps to cancel events either. (Magyar did not name a specific event, but he was presumably referring specifically to the Sziget Festival.) At the same time, Péter Magyar stressed that if disruptions occur in the system or the heatwave persists, it could become necessary to postpone or reschedule events (example: some Hungarian football games will probably be held in daylight, moved to a few hours earlier, to save energy), although he believes there is currently little chance of that happening. This is particularly true for events that rely entirely, or largely, on their own energy sources.
    • If the campervan field residents aren’t allowed to cut through orchid they’ve got a brutal walk on their hands.   otherwise not too many surprises
    • This. I always read in awe the hatred toward the festival and Gerendai.  I see no chance of it being cancelled, except if something worse happens, like the whole electric grid collapses or something. But that’s not really a case. Worst case scenario is that the whole thing will be ran by diesel generators for the sake of the environment.
    • they are shutting down the nuclear power plant until Friday ; sziget starts 3 days later plus, they said they will have to import energy.    So I see no point in cancelling an event that will make them lose money
