Well, we are actually at the front at Gate B now. 

After being moved forward from our holding point we were searched. 

That was REALLY invasive. 

2 people, going through my rucksack, bit by bit. 

Another bloke going through my 'lesser' bags; backpack, camping chair, cool bag. 

I was kinda pointing out to the guy checking my rucksack what was what...the bloke checking my other stuff got proper fucking shitty with him and me:

"DONT LET HIM TELL YOU WHAT TO CHECK AND WHAT IT IS!!!"

Anyhoo. At the gate now. 

Best mate had his Swiss Army knife taken off him. But security said, "mate, if you've got drugs on you I'm not interested!"

But as we sit here now, everyone is kinda relieved and glad and it's done now. 

Same thing tomorrow and I can't see the queues moving quickly.

Seriously pissing me off these security stories. For what flak I might attract the good ol days seem long ago. It's verging on ridiculous some of the tales of woe.

That sounds proper hectic. I can see there being frayed tempers if everyone gets treated like that tomorrow.

Hope they give you ample time to repack? Our packs are rammed full, could be a nightmare.

Second search in the morning. 

Only 200 people (ish) in the very front section of the Gate B queue.

We're in the queue for the searches at gate B. Been here for about half hour and we're about 300 yards away from the gate

I am here now. Queue keeps moving. Anyone know why? We wanted to just sit down and chill!

We are sitting now in queue bags all checked and on path area between 2 roads. Security were searching by torch. Waiting for generator and lights. Glad to be through should make easier in morning. Good luck to you all x

They seem to have stopped the searches in the queue now. Not moved for a good 15 mins.

We're sat down in the bit after gate searches. I recon they'll stop the searches and let everyone chill the other side of the road because it's getting full here

Guys honestly relax. We're past the search gates and my group of 52 didn't have any aerosols taken away. It's not airport security. Just chill

Just got here. Getting busy. Saw a first entry gate, but only after deciding to bring everything in one go. Seems like we're waiting to be searched and perhaps moved or?

OK just spoke to one of the stewards. We're currently 200 meters from security check point, no more searches tonight. He reckoned there's about 1000 punters in the holding pen (already searched). Told us we won't move till 8 or just before.
