Why did the green traveller voucher incentive stop. I travelled by bus in 2016 and didn't get any vouchers.

Did they not have them last year? If they've stopped doing them I'd imagine it was because they weren't really much of an incentive. Lots of places didn't accept them, there always seemed to be loads littering the floor (meaning even those going by car could pick them up) and the costs probably outweighed any benefits.

I always go by coach but the voucher scheme didn't play a part in that, and although it was a nice little bonus I can't imagine too many people were swayed by what amounted to a few pounds worth of tokens. There must have been better ways to encourage green travel.

As incentives go, 50p off a limited number of meals at a limited number of stalls really isn't all that.

I travelled by coach and didn't get them either last year. Maybe the incentive is that you don't have to pay £50 for a car parking ticket.

It was nice as a free, unexpected handout when you arrived, but it didn't really work as an incentive to change peoples behaviour because it wasn't much more than a 50p off voucher

But you get to pay £50+ each for a coach ticket (depending on location)?

I'm all for people going on public transport and have done for most of my visits, but assuming you're sharing a car then the costs are far less for car users.

Yeah this for sure, if there's 4 of you in a car, then it's only just over a tenner each, does suck if you're by yourself though.

We travel by coach now, just prefer it to the stress of driving home. That isn't fun!

can't believe those who drive .. with journeys back to Glasgow and the like .. I only drive 45mins down the road  and thats bad enough

They were rubbish. Didn't use a single one in 2014, the deals were too obscure and too low value to be bothering with. I never remembered them when I had an opportunity, which was rare.

£1 off any meal would have been better, something like that.

Yeah they weren't great. If they really wanted to incentivise they'd give a voucher for a half price (or even free) t-shirt or some such

I suppose the real incentive is the avoidance of an environmental apocalypse. Seems a bit odd we're all talking about coupons and t-shirts!
