Deaf Nobby Burton
One of the best things I've found use for with power packs after the festival is going on holiday, you use your phone for satnav to get to the airport, then you us it for your boarding passes and to check the flight status, by this time you're probably on 50%, then you get on the plane and you can watch a couple of movies that you've downloaded and not have to worry about having no battery at the other end. MartinK
I take a crappy old Samsung E1200, no camera, internet and Facebook. It lasts a full 5 days easily (I do take a spare battery) The thought of queuing a couple of hours in a recharge tent horrifies me !
pie_and_a_pint
Get an Anker. I use my phone A LOT and mine kept my iPhone charged up Monday - Monday last year.

Queues are huge. Very sad that people can not do without their phones for a few days or have the sense to bring a power bank with them. They only have digital friends, let them know as you pass by

verrymerry
Buy a shit (really I mean brilliant) old Nokia and the battery will last you all week, guaranteed! Camera phone, colour screen not included, but you do get Snake and you can compose your old ring tones Although the predictive texting really winds me up, I've no idea how I used to managed to do it, now if you get a message from me it's all nonsense
GT3
I like taking a decent phone so I can take some decent photos. I just turn data/bluetooth/wifi/nfc off and my sony z5 only needed charging once whilst I was there. My 20,000 mah power pack I took with me every day and charged up various friends phones that couldn't leave social media alone for a few days

Anyone who queues at Glastonbury to charge some stupid phone is an embarrassment to the festival and their ticket should go to a real true Glastonbury goer. This may seem extreme but they are better off staying at home with a fully charged phone and watching it on TV. They don't know the first thing about Glastonbury and sadly never ever will. Idiots! In my head 'a real true Glastonbury goer' is someone who goes to Glastonbury Festival - simples. What's your definition please?

I think it says a little too much about you. You have no idea of the circumstances of others, yet believe you're worthy of determining that they fail to meet your benchmark. What if they've had something happen which means they need to contact friends, family, sort out a lift/bus/whatever? My measure of a true goer is whether they embody the spirit, which does include whether they come across as a judgemental ****
Quahog5
Thankfully the festival moves with the times even if some of their punters don't

All I am saying is if someone wants to pay £250 for a ticket and then spend half a day queuing to charge their poncey I-phone then fine. Enjoy your boring festival! However next year let someone who really wants to go have your ticket. There is an entire thread on here about people who have been unsuccessful Any of those would gladly have your ticket. People need to seriously think before they attempt to buy tickets. 1. You have no idea what word i redacted, or how childish it was. 2. Your evident superiority doesn't extend to knowledge of how long the queues take. 3. Anyone who gets their own ticket, or has done, clearly wants to go, as it can be such a hurdle. 4. Just because they want to find their friends, call home, check their clashfinder, look for secret sets, etc - I don't think that puts you in any position to be Judge Judy and executioner. Deaf Nobby Burton
I've personally never charged my phone there, but I highly doubt anybody spends half a day queuing, an hour tops probably? There is pretty much something on at Glastonbury 24/7 for five days, you can't be up for it the entire time, so I hardly thing spending an hour queuing means you should forfeit your ticket.
