Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, I can't believe you would make such a basic and vulgar mistake.  It is, of course:

No Fucking R**n, No Fucking Compromise.

:D

Oh crikey! Silly Lucy! I shall repent!

Ah well, you do it yourself because they give you scones, a pot of jam, and a pot of cream. AND tea in a real teapot. All proper crockery too, and proper cake forks if you have cake, and proper butter knives to spread your jam and cream.

It's bloody lovely, and a bit of a Thursday Tradition for our lot!

For the record, I'm a cream then jam girl. Finbarr that! Ha! :)

Where is this place? That sounds awesome.

And for the record, you're wrong. Jam then cream ;)

I'm crap with remembering where places are, but it is in the Greenfields on a main road bit, by some crossroads and just down the hill from a postcard place. I think the steam boat place is near there too! The cream tea place is a little caravan, done up to look like a proper old fashioned cottage. There are white tables and chairs outside. Could arrange to meet you Thursday before the NFR meet and we'll have a cream tea if you like?

You're wrong about the jam/cream, but I embrace diversity so will let it go ;)

Thought you'd missed out on Sunday dude? Great news!

Yeahh a mate got through for me, am still buzzing. However we only got 4 from 10 Sunday. And having put together the groups I felt kinda responsible. Especially for one of my close mates that I had put in a different group to me. I had a weird mixture of happiness, disappointment, guilt and tiredness yesterday.

Im with @quark

I mean, have you ever tried to spread jam on top of cream - the mess is catastrophic - or am I just doing it wrong?

Ah, that's where you're going wrong! You shouldn't need to spread the jam. Nice cold clotted cream from the fridge, spread on a warm scone, then room temperature jam, which spreads itself. Nom! :)

That could work!

However good clotted cream is the star of the show. You want that front and centre, not hidden under jam.

Sorry, thought it might! Bit of a tradition on this thread, finding innuendo in seemingly innocuous comments. It comes from a Viz comic, 'Finbarr Saunders and his double entendres'.

Oh now I get you... and I mean it both ways anyway :D:D:D;)

Put your Cream on top ffs!

In Devon they put the jam on top as they are embarrassed about the quality (lack of) of their cream.

Good Cornish Clotted Cream doesnt need to be hidden!

Somehow I knew you'd take my side!
