I moved house on wednesday so going to ring the office tonight and make sure I've applied correctly. Trusted friend who is voting same way as me is on standby as a proxy.

I'm quite glad I can vote with my head and not an emotional last minute swap on the day

Coming round quite quickly this, kept somehow forgetting and only sent off for me postal on Wednesday... Never done postal before, quite concerned cos really, between council and Royal Mail anything can go wrong.

You can always hand deliver it. The address is included in the postal vote pack.

Don't let Glastonbury stop you from exercising your very important right to vote.

Does anyone know when the deadline is to actually post back the application.

I can drop it off on Thursday but will struggle to post it between now and then.

I believe as long as it's received before the polls close your vote is counted. I think you can actually drop it off at your polling station obviously no good in this instance.

Ignore that misread the question.

That's voting by proxy - https://www.gov.uk/voting-in-the-uk/voting-by-proxy

I just do postal for every election, very straight forward.

Thanks, I'm still hoping for a last minute Glastonbury win so waiting until the last second to sort out the voting. Luckily I've got someone I can trust who can vote on my behalf :)

With the extension of registering to vote moving to Thursday, is there any sign of an extension for applying for a postal vote? To my understanding, the deadline was 5pm today.

Unlikely, seems to be causing all kinds of headache so far (legally speaking).
