Bowie's death had me remember that Here & Now covered 'the man who sold the world' on their Fantasy Shift album, and as i've just found it on YouTube I thought we'd have a thread of covers to celebrate Bowie's genius.

I could only think of a couple of Bowie covers off the top of my head ( & as what there is of my reputation would never survive posting Lulu on here) it will have to this

 

I thought this was the first single I bought before it had entered the charts  - I have checked the dates & it was actually the second. sadly I still have the first (Coz I Luv You by Slade) but this one is long gone.

not a cover but a nice choice all the same LJS.

As it happens that was on the first LP I ever owned, which was a "20 hits by the original artists" jobby.

Got no likes to give, but the soundtrack to the life aquatic is a thing of rare genius.  The cuts to the songs in the film were wonderful moments.

Even though Oasis and Noel Gallagher can be quite divisive on here I do like Noel Gallagher's cover of 'Heroes'.

Also Patrick Stump's cover of 'Life On Mars'.
