Really can't see them continuing, and even if they do they almost certainly won't be playing this or any other festival. Same for Scott's side project Mastersystem who were due to play on the Saturday.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. Forgot Mastersystem were supposed to play too yeah they won't either.

The Bronx - They are across in Europe at that time so wouldn't be surprised but would be disappointing as they've headlined the Cave twice in the last 4 years already.

Cancer Bats - Again, across in Europe. Could be a good shout!

Thrice - In USA on the Thursday so unlikely. I think they'd be too big for The Cave anyway.

State Champs & Every Time I Die - On Warped Tour over this weekend.

While She Sleeps - Could happen, but headlined The Cave along with The Bronx in 2016 so again would be a bit disappointing.

The Wonder Years & The Menzingers - Both headlined last year so can't see it.

Based on other festivals, I'd also throw some of these guys into the mix (albeit some not to headline and not all for The Cave)

Stick To Your Guns,  Anti-Flag, Turbonegro, Bury Tomorrow, Descendents, Japandroids, FIDLAR, Stray From The Path, Zebrahead, The Joy Formbidable, As It Is, Zeal & Ardor and Yonaka.

Really hoping strange bones get announced, they were brilliant the other night.

agreed mate, caught them in London last week, both them and calva louise were insane. one of the best bands around atm, would love to see them at trees this year.

Happy with that announcement, Demob Happy and Dream Wife will be quality.

Good additions, Enter Shikari in the Forest is going to be busy.  Jamie Lenman is only playing the Forest, would have liked him doubling up.

There must be more to be added to the Forest, there's only about six sets on each day showing on the poster so far (you can tell who is playing the Forest as they have one asterisk for Forest-only, two for doubling up).

also Arcane Roots in the forest will be magical.

Amazing Forest announcement, and a few decent additions elsewhere!

I'm sure I read that was the last announcement but still can't see anyone who would headline the Cave on Saturday unless they've rearranged a few bands?

Hopefully a few final bands to go.

Seems like Arcane Roots are subheadlining which is pretty strange. Love them and definitely think they've got the quality to do it but I wouldn't have thought they were big enough.

Unfortunately the band that were supposed to sub-headline can no longer play, and therefore there is a fantastic opportunity for Arcane Roots.

Plugged in the new names but it's haphazard as all hell, the gaps left in some of the stages just don't match up with the announcement - at least based on last year's numbers/timings and the info on the lineup page. Leaving it to folk with more knowledge than me to muck about with orders etc until there's official word. Pretty lukewarm on the lineup this year tbh.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
    • Maybe Starmer's legacy will be a war with Russia.
