2) Very random question and actually got nothing to do with the festival but my journey. How far is the Birmingham Coach station to the train station. To get there before acts (and not pay a ridiculous train fare for some reason, it's fine if I want to get there later and on the way back) I'm planning on taking the Megabus down to Birmingham and getting the train to Cheltenham from there and since I have all my camping gear I wont want to be walking far across Birmingham city centre. Would I be better off getting a cab or something?

The coach station is about 10 mins from new street however whenever ive used megabus theyve not used the coach station and just have a stop on hill street which is 2/3 mins away

Ah sick. That's great. Thanks man

Also they're announcing final bands and forest sessions today. Soupy to do an Aaron West set is the dream

Aaron West was highly requested and the way they're hyping this announcement makes me think it's happening.

Just over a week to go so bumping this for any late news/recommendations.  Any ideas on who the TBC is?

Reckon Frank Turner. He plays B'ham the Friday night and Newcastle the Sunday night so I reckon it would make sense. My other thought was Hundred Reasons but the TBC is 5 minutes after their Forest session so it can't be them I don't think.

Very niche I know, but the Kevin Devine set in the Forest is going to be an Elliott Smith covers set, which for me at least ssounds the ideal way to end the weekend.

Enjoy the weekend everyone, whatever you see.

I didn't go to Trees but I saw TWY in Nottingham on Saturday night at it was glorious. Coffee Eyes and Hoodie Weather had me. Perfect setlist.

Looked at that setlists and Hoodie Weather and Logan Circle would have been beautiful and I still haven't seen I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral live which is so annoying. Me and my mate were talking about going to Kingston after Trees but it just would have cost too much in the end but at least I got my Aaron West set and a bunch of other cool bands though so that's cool.

I think I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral is the highlight of any of the times I've seen them. It was so, so awesome. Crowd went ballistic for it.

And you got to see The Menzingers, dude. I'm so envious of that! After The Party is my joint favourite album of the year so far.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
