Using anothers registration, how risky?

Ok so one friend thought he'd registered but never thought to check his emails and it was rejected, another friend has decided he doesn't want to go anymore.

I know it's risky but these 2 lads are the same age roughly the same weight and same hair colour and he could probably bring 1 or 2 of his old bankcard to back it up?

anyone any success or more importantly failure stories on using other people tickets?

or any advice

I've known two people -friends of friends - that have got away with it. I think it just depends who you get on the gate but they really didn't look that alike in either case.

I'd say it'll be tougher this year since they've been cracking down on old regs with rubbish pics. But good luck if you do!

If I were to do this I'd make sure that I had more than a couple of bank cards in my wallet. I'd have things like a library card, nectar points card, driving licence, etc etc ie a whole plethora of identification. I would also repeat the other blokes date of birth like a mantra until it was second nature for me to quote it.

Yea well what im thinking is if my friend who's not going cancels 2 of his bank cards and gives them to the other to produce in case there's a problem. as well as that all 5 are booked under my email address/home address so if we have to go to the box office for security questions that again increases chances?    Wishful thinking maybe but I like the odds

I reckon if you are that well covered you'd be fine.

If you're putting that much effort in you should be fine. I know someone who got in with a ticket that looked nothing like her. She got id'd due to obviously not being the person on the ticket and showed her the driving licence of her friend on the ticket and she was let in no problem despite not looking like either picture

I got asked to show id this time. No idea why, I still look exactly the same as my photo. It ain't easy to pull off smouldering good looks with a cheeky smile, so I don't think anyone could pretend to be me.

Anyway, I just said i didn't have any, so she asked me my address and in I went.

Haha very good. Usually one look at gargoyle-like exterior and I'm quickly waved through. Nobody wants to look at me twice, especially at short range.

that's all I needed 1 positive answer even if in the midst of negative I was really just looking for that light in the dark :sarcastic:

From one Irishman to another, there is only one thing to say to inject some optimism here : 'Feck it, it'll be grand'.

I've bought tickets where I've looked similar to the person on the ticket and gone through security twice a day no problem. This year I grew and dyed my beard.

I've done this twice in four years and I'd do it again if I don't get a ticket.

To be honest I don't look that much like my own registered photo now.

Theres no doubting the risk but for the past 3 years friends have done it and its fine. Be vigilant when going through the gates. One guy was inspecting every ticket on gate D and asking questions regardless. The guy next to him looked desperate to get away and could not care less. Its doable but probs worth trying in the resale
