yes, but more than was predicted...and when you have growth you can do other things, spend, invest, or cut taxes...
Plus, they have falling inflation...so will stop seeing the silly price rises we have been getting, and interest rates will start to get cut and so will mortgate rates. The economy will probably look a little bit healthier in the second half of the year, and Tories can use that as part of their election campaign, even if a lot of people have already made up their minds that they want them gone.
It’s certainly an interesting strategy to make the last hour comfortably the weakest part of the show. Wouldn’t be surprised if empty seats start appearing immediately after the surprise songs, especially in cities like London where people need to make the last train home.
