  1. Yes, my reading of the rules is that day ticket holders (VIP or standard) are treated as general public when it comes to Ciutat tickets and you will have to wait until May 10 to buy. There will a limited number of tickets for each event set aside for May 10 sale.
  2. If you have a reservation, there shouldn't be a problem. I didn't get to Jockstrap til 1am last year.
  3. I think what you are referring to is the replacement for the P&B dance stage from last year. In the past there was a "hidden stage" (in the underground car park, where the Warehouse stage is now) and later on one of the the grassy knolls. As has been said, they've hosted some great shows and their late addition added a bit of excitement given the line-up was out months earlier. I also agree that with the loss of Sant Adrià and PS pushing capacity numbers to the max, it's a struggle to see where it would go. We still don't know where the new P&B will be ...
  4. If I'm reading this right, Razz is in Mon/Tues/Wed but not the Sunday https://www.primaverasound.com/en/news/primavera-sound-amplifica-la-explosion-musical-de-su-proxima-edicion-con-la-programacion-de-primavera-a-la-ciutat-de-la-mano-del-santander
  5. 80% (if you take it as truth) still leaves a lot of full price tickets to be sold with plenty available cheaper "second-hand". The limited extra run of Friday tickets still hasn't sold out. At this stage surely only locals or the deep of pocket abroad can come for the weekend. NB I want PS to do well but some extra elbow room would be nice! I also dislike the new Mordor set-up. I feel it was done to make things easier for the backstage crew etc and not to improve the fan experience. I think it has had a detrimental effect on crowd behaviour as in the past people waiting on the next show and with no interest in the artist currently playing would be at the far end of the arena instead of taking up space at the live show and, in some cases, annoying those watching.
  6. Interview (in Spanish) with PS co-director Alfonso Lanza in Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia https://www.lavanguardia.com/cultura/musica/20240321/9575757/alfonso-lanza-primavera-sound-director-entrevista-novedades.html Decent read though no great revelations. They have sold 80% of tickets so it will be sold out, ie 65/70k a day [not sure this is a given, myself] Overall happy with stage arrangements from last year Tough competing with the mega multinational promoters but PS independence/kudos is also an advantage Costs always rising, €30m budget for artists plus production. Artist fees have more than doubled in last 10 yrs Ticket revenue lower than last year because so many bought early doors, 55/60% from outside Spain Great relations with BCN town hall, contract til 2026. Both parties recognise no forum means no Primavera. Any issues are more to do with noise, crowds etc bothering locals Happy with current number/distribution of days in festival Brexit was a blow but situation has improved this year other stuff about latin america and music industry in general. more than 10 cities interested in hosting a PS event incl in Germany and Sweden
  7. Yeah, not much to report really. Confirmed Pull & Bear stage gone because of sound leaks but there will be, in addition to the boiler room, a new electronica stage (of sorts) with names yet to be announced. Said 12 stages in total but wasn't too sure. Some choices for Auditori might surprise you: both who's there and who isn't. Bike parking space (dunno if this is news or not). Implied Justice and Disclosure will close Mordor. More streaming of shows via Amazon Prime. Tiny stages along waterfront will be back.
  8. KuTso and Las Petunias look real https://www.instagram.com/kutsoguardi/ https://www.instagram.com/laspetuniaslalala/
  9. I saw a story recently about the town hall looking at building something at the Forum but thought it was Mordor. PS said if it happened, the festival at the forum would become unviable.
  10. In 2023 you reserved online about two weeks beforehand, v straightforward. I imagine it will be the same in 2024 but don't expect any details until April/May. https://www.primaverasound.com/en/barcelona/primavera-sound-barcelona-2023-reservations-information
  11. they mentioned the first "Primavera" gigs in Bcn in 1994 which included a band called Patrullero Mancuso
  12. countdown does indicate 10am but i'd say that refers to start of radio show and doors for the event don't open til 10am so the reveal will have to be a little later: 11/12? I don't think the event will be anything more than a Radio PS broadcast with analysis/chat and interviews with some senior PS staff and possibly a local artist on the bill and maybe some giveaway prizes for audience. If i was in town and at loose end, I'd go (it's full anyway)
  13. Isn't there usually a link to one of the performing artists though? eg I'll be your mirror - John Cale. Otherwise "you are not ready for this" is just a bland, off-the-shelf slogan (also a possibility!)
  14. Barcelona on the Thursday or Saturday too, surely?
  15. More than €15, surely? Though they don't actually state it's 30% either, just email and "we will help you". I would be interested in hearing what they give you.
  16. You are right to say "partially" cos several Poblenou (and elsewhere, I'm sure) hotels are taking bookings already. Not that there are any bargains to be had.
  17. The app says there's something on May 31st at 10pm and you don't need a Primavera pass to go.
  18. Different compnay managing the bars but prices wil be the same as last year is another thing they said on the radio. Also, as the map suggested, the entrance gates have been moved a little down towards the street to allow more room inside the forum area.
  19. Nothing huge. A couple of small stages on seafront along with previously announced Aperol. Mostly local acts but also The Wedding Present and Japanese Breakfast. Tems has cancelled. Boiler room a lot bigger than last year. Radio PS will be broadcasting from the forum and interviewing, amongst others, Always, Perfume, Sparks and Sudan Archives. There will be a Benidorm weekender this year. Old gits will like the lineup, which will be announced during PS Bcn/Mad. Free water but no details. 15% approx reduction in capacity, ie 68/70,000 people there, taking into account no-shows. Pretty disingenuous of them to say this will mean we will have more room than last year. Isn't 70k cap bigger than the last pre-sant adria fest? 50k madrid cap.
  20. RadioPS "Weekly" show today talking about a stage showcasing Spanish acts on the seafront walkway sponsored by Aperol. Don't think has been officially announced yet. Not a big surprise - there has been a similar set-up in previous years iirc. They also mentioned the boiler room will be circular again (wasn't it square last year??) and would be bigger though not wider, bit of a riddle😄! RadioPS will be doing some interviews on site with artists incl Confidence Man and another who has yet to be announced, which *to me* implies we will have a hidden stage type thing somewhere.
  21. https://dice.fm/event/9wrln-black-midi-black-country-new-road-los-bitchos-goat-girl-5th-jun-sala-la-paqui-antigua-sala-but-madrid-tickets on sale now for 16.50eur!
  22. Admin on official forum said so. Info for Madrid equivalent already published (booking required).
  23. Pull & Bear non-stop electronica stage is where the Mordor food court has been, right? I say non-stop but there is a 45-minute gap every night that coincides with the end of the last act in Mordor at 3/3.30am. I guess this is so people leaving the main stages don't dilly dally there and cause a bottleneck and keep moving towards Rayban etc.
  24. Apologies if this has been pointed out before but I notice that the Sunday night shows in Apolo 1 and 2 are each divided into two events with a separate ticket required for each, ie PSB and then from midnight Dave P and DJ Playero. The ElectroniCON event also begins at 12am after Maggie Rogers/Gwenno/Lila Drew have finished (and the room cleared presumably).
