Spiritualized @ the Park

I think it was the most special show of the festival for me. The sound and setting was just perfect -- there's something special about the Park. Was a bit shocked at how small the crowd was when we arrived just before they started, but I guess they're not everyone's cup of tea. I was just completely blown away by it.

 

The ending of Walkin' with Jesus / Come Together was something else.

They were beautiful & perfect slot with the sun going in.. The Park is IMO, the ideal stage for them

I only really know 'Ladies & Gentlemen...' so I was worried I wouldn't enjoy the set that much but it was phenomenal! Kate Tempest > FJM > Todd Terje > Spiritualized > PSB was probably my most enjoyable run of sets all weekend

Yep they were really good.  And they played "Shine A Light" which is my favourite Spiritualized song.  That was a bit of a Glastonbury Moment for me.

I just watched it back over, the quiet part of 'Walkin with Jesus' made me well up at my desk at work. My boss gave me an odd look.

It was a simply blissful Saturday afternoon / evening up there at a pleasantly populated Park.

Probably my favourite performance with SFA over the weekend, so happy when they played Come Together at the end.

So so good, when you see Jason is standing not sitting you know they mean business. I thought the set flowed perfectly, amazing stuff

I managed to get down near the front.  The sound was awesome and the light show was pretty mesmerising.  The overall intensity of sound and strobes meant I was struggling at some points to stay focussed, particularly during "She Kissed Me".  However, that might have been down to the vodka

Yeah was fantastic. Was stood near the back on my own and was surprised how small the crowd was but loved every second of it. 

 

Sadly the only set I saw at The Park, wish I'd spent more time there. Just looked back at the lineup and I probably would've been happy to stand there all day everyday. If I go back I'll definitely be making more of an effort.
