 Did you actually watch the game last night? Barca dicked around so much that Cech didn't even have a save to make until the 2nd half.

Arsenal were a better side and more exciting to watch in 03-04 than they are now. All fur and no knickers.

Yeah, Barca couldn't get near the goal cos Barca are crap, and nothing to do with how Arsenal set themselves up to try and stop them.

Arsenal might have been a better team a decade ago, but the match I'm talking about was last night. :)

Who said anything about Barcelona being crap?

From one angle, yep, tho from another they should have won. They had their chances.

Yep, they did, but I dont think Arsenal can feel too unlucky with that outcome in the end. There was a sort of inevitability to it from what I saw,  but had it gone the other way Barca defo could have felt unlucky to lose it.

The Juve Bayern game? Yes it was much better. That Dybala is going to be some player.

Yes, on paper it was always going to be the better game.  While you can admire Barcelona there games arent always the most interesting.  Either destroying mid table Spanish teams or passing around against the stronger teams. I thought Dybala was overpriced, but he looks a cracking signing.

I've got to decide whether I want a ticket to the 6th round game before I actually know which of 4 dates the game is on.

Fucking ridiculous

Count yourself lucky, United season ticket holders don't have a choice.

Money gone from there accounts today already.

We gave Hibs a bit of a beasting last night. Only the second time we've beaten a team above 8th place in the league this season.

Well done...

Don't think anyone saw that coming! They should have mind, Stubbs is an appauling excuse for a 'coach'

In my spare time, I follow Málaga (spare time being that I have a season ticket ), so it was no surprise to see City absolutely turn Kyiv over last night. That performance in Europe, is what Pellegrini is famous for, I mean, he seriously knows how to play in Europe (almost Benitez-esque).

Made me feel quite nostalgic watching it, knowing it had been Málaga in the past. But looking at City before Pellegrini, they never got out the group stage, now this is their third straight time out the group, after winning a very difficult group. He may not have done what was required at City, but if they can hope for a few bits of luck (i.e. Bayern/Real/Barca drawing each other), I can see them going far, hell if he can take Málaga within a minute, and a terrible decision away from the Semi's, I wonder what he can do with City, now they've won the group.

Stubbs has done reasonably well at Hibs. They're hitting a blip right now, but absolutely nobody at Hibs will be disappointed at how he's done, and nor should they be.

He is a nice man but a terrible manager. The reason we have got out of the groups is the fact we have had easier groups over the last few years.

Pelegrini's results at Malaga were more to do with Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani and his wallet than they were Pelegrini?

 I like your style, but i disagree.

The chairman, makes Vincent Tan look like a saint. He put money in for 2 years then took it all away. Thankfully they have an excellent manager in Javi Gracia.

I don't think he's suited to the Premier League, more Primera, but Europe is definitely his strong point. City could go far this year.

Yeah you'll be telling me next that Blackburn's Premier League trophy was more about Dalglish than Walker

I think football fans too often look at everything as great or terrible. As most he is somewhere in the middle. He wouldn't have achieved as much if he was a terrible manager.

    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
    • Got our purple outfits sorted.   What's the uptake on the fancy dress day?   Does everyone get involved with that one as well?
