looks like Moaniho might have met his match too.

Go on Kenright, stand firm!!

I'm totally with you on this, nice to see a club saying no and Stones still playing instead of sulking or not "being right" to play. Problem is for Everton, it's a lot of money which they could possible get 3 or 4 decent players with and if Stones gets a major injury betweem now and winter then his price will fall a huge amount.

Reminds me of Carroll sale. I didn't want him to go but the money got daft and you couldn't turn it down. Problem was Newcastle waited too long, maybe they squeezed some extra cash out of Liverpool but they could have sold him earlier and got some business done for the season ahead.

I think there has been an overreaction about Liverpool from yesterdays result. They have had almost an identical start to Arsenal and only significantly worse than one of the teams who finished above them this season. While money could have been spent better, the reality is Liverpool are competing for transfers with Spurs and not the other teams who finished above them. If Liverpool do get rid of Rodgers then what next? Im still yet to be convinced that Klopp would join a team in a league where 4 teams have greater resources, yet expectations are to compete with these teams,

I reckon Swansea are this year's Southampton. Top 7 at the very least

They were only 4 points and 1 place behind Soton last year. Just didn't really get noticed.

Having seen them the on the opening day, I think they're quality but the lack of depth up front. Gomis is decent enough but has a shocking touch and there is very little in the way of competition for his place. Had they kept Bony, I'd fancy them to finish above Spurs.

A lot of people bringing up his wages, but in my view its Man Utds fault for offering a player with no sell on value such a bumper deal.

I think you're looking at it in a very simplistic way, how much does Rooney make man utd through merchandise? His name?

For example even though man utd lost money on di maria, they made an actual profit through shirt sales/merchandise/his name.

What's Rooney on? Something like 13m a year? I'm sure they make more than that on merchandise and sponsorship deals involving his name.

What is this, the USA? He is clearly not worth it on a footballing basis.

If you really think his being paid that amount of money for football talent alone, you are pretty naive.

Why do you think clubs go around the world for pre season games? The sunshine? The USA and the Asia market is where the money is, UK market is a drop in the ocean.

Do you think the likes of glaziers and the Liverpool owners are there for the love of football?

Its funny for all the money and a new influx of players, very little seems to have changed. A good Chelsea team have turned average and an average city team have become very good. However the rest seem to be pretty much where they were last season.

Precisely. It's the most overrated load of shit.

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
