Has anyone been for a stroll?

Went for a walk around roughly the fence perimeter today, lots of new fencing and signs up around Cockmill lane towards top of Pennard Hill Farm saying private no entry. Other than that couldn’t see a lot of activity around the site beyond farm traffic.

Probably premature to second guess what they will work on this year. They have a whole year to work on any changes.

I can also confirm the Pyramid is still there along with some sheep for company 😀

I'm guessing from the angle that's from the track heading to the farm, with the track up to the Tithe Barn on your left?

Sworn to secrecy?

Does Glastonbury have a cctv / AI / computer crowd control system in place?

yep definately loads of cameras all over site monitoring during the festival and a big centre monitoring us near the farm . but why post on the internet and then say we cant say anything rather than not post anything .... good advertising I guess

Is the 'big centre' monitoring station run purely on human visual observation, or are there IT programs involved, do you know?

Every decent sized festival will have CCTV and crowd monitoring solutions in place.. But they'll be installed as needed, this will be for the farms day to day affairs and so unconnected to the festival operations.

    • A few snaps from Sunday, which was huge fun, plus Happy Mondays, Radio Free Alice, Fratellis and Pale Waves. We didn't stay for The Streets, as after 3-4 songs it felt so downbeat compared to the rest of the day, and i've got another hectic week at work incoming.
    • It was fine, just hectic! The youngsters were mostly very well-behaved. The weather was a real bonus, although surprisingly chilly evenings - I guess it's the altitude - and the area between sound and main stage was a massive dust bowl.
    • Ive always had a lot of time for the mighty Shots, a pal of mine used to commentate on their games for Sussex Counties radio and he'd sneak me into the ground for midweek games, and we'd even nick a tea and a plate of sandwiches. This is back in the George Borg days, so um . . a little while ago now
    • Hmm, weird- Rush are playing the Co-Op live on the 12th and the 14th, and Megadeth are the meat in that sandwich - so they have to roll everything in, roll it out again, only to roll it back in and then out - here's hoping for a prog hokey-cokey with all manner of bizarre time signatures and drum solos!
    • Depends what you mean by seeing 'more stuff' about it.    I definitely don't trust the original Sun article.
