A stadium gig or 2 (Wembley and Murrayfield?) to round off the next album cycle would be cool, if there's the demand for it.

I agree with you Gazza that the 20k is a fairly easy sell out, but arena dates don't exactly have a 'warm up' feel to them. :P

To be honest, I called it warm ups but it's more like just a few arena dates.

Either way, I could see a stadium date in Scotland and London after a Glastonbury show. I think they'd need the exposure off of that 1st.

Mhm. Be interesting to see where the next album sends them in terms of size anyway. Obviously I'd love for them to be propelled to the same status as the likes of Muse. I may be very biased but I can't think of a band that deserves it more.

What kasabian did in 2014 would work well for biffy I reckon. One big home show, and maybe one at London and a Glastonbury appearance.

Bare in mind I'm a big biffy fan.

It would work, it's just something I don't think they'd do in the first year of touring an album, if it does end up out late 2015/early 2016.

Happy to be proved wrong mind, personally I just really want them to get their shot at headlining Glasto.

They aren't Muse sized yet and I don't think Muse are quite the size they were.

Nothing to base it on, but I'd say a massive Scottish show next year is very likely.

And considering they've done reading/T very recently I'd say they are off the cards... Glasto looks most likely but it's far too early to tell.

They could always bun glasto and do a massive show, Hyde park and a later tour in the year. Don't know where I get it from but I can't see them being a first choice for a night at glasto... They are big and deserve to headline but not to the extent where I can imagine Emily desperate to get them? Maybe I'm just talking rubbish.

As has been said by many I think they're nailed on to do Friday next year, hoping for Royal Blood to sub, would work very nicely on their pattern to becoming headliners.

With regards to the other headliners I think Noel will do it if he isn't doing V. Radiohead, Elton, Strokes & Cure are all also strong possibilities imo

I doubt she was that desperate to get Arcade Fire and Kasabian last year, or Arctic Monkeys and Mumford the year before. Not every first choice headliner is gonna be someone she's desperate for.

Yeah, Biffy are probably just an obvious choice. One of the most recent British bands to hit the headlining heights and they've done almost everywhere else.

Noel won't headline Glasto on his second Summer touring an album, they just don't do that. Doubt The Strokes would headline Glastonbury at all.

The only likely trio I can think of for 2016 is

Radiohead, Rihanna, Biffy Clyro

And that isn't even that likely

And Radiohead may not even happen

Far too early to even predict who's gonna be about.

What I meant by earlier is, that if they aren't first choice, or one of the bands approached early on they may make other plans in belief they won't be asked? Potentially.

Noel, The Strokes and The Cure are pretty much gone already for next year. Elton is possibly but I feel he's much more likely for the Legends spot now or he just won't be booked, doesn't even have the appeal as his own gigs now anymore, largely down probably to he tours every year and it decreases the appeal because it's been seen. Radiohead are possible but not so sure after Thom's recent comments, it would certainly explain their absence since 2003.

I still have a hunch for FM next year.

I'm sorry Matt but all of your posts to me just read: "Maybe this but also maybe not this because it's likely but also it's not. Maybe."

Well I don't know do I? 2016 is just a massive maybe right now. We kinda knew foo fighters would be about next summer, so that was one potential headliner... But for 2016 it's not as easy.

We have no idea of Biffy's plans, and we have no idea of whether Radiohead want to do Glastonbury anymore.

There isn't anyone that's really any more likely than anyone else.

Then stop saying things are likely or not likely when you've said yourself there's nothing to sway it either way. Just change the wording of your posts and you'll get less hassle for your predictions. You state them as fact and then backtrack halfway through.

This isn't meant to come across dickish, but you're clearly a bit bothered by all the shite you get, so just try and stop instigating it in that way.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
