I was there yesterday.

There was a digger in the green and craft fields and a couple guys laying a pipe near one of the hedge rows. Apart from usual farm work, and a half finished new long drop, that's all the extra activity we saw.

The site will likely have security covering the entrances by then, I think that they were there 3 weeks before last year (give or take). You may be lucky but I think it is unlikely to get on, the fence will be mostly complete, village side is last. As usual call the festival office before driving here, it will probably save you fuel.

I'd guess it's most likely because of health and safety / insurance concerns, for what I'm guessing is classed much the same as a construction site.

i'm pretty sure the CDM regs have been changed this month which could have had this affect on the site. Its a real bugger as we were planning on taking a trip down and having a look round in May as we have always wanted to do that before the festival but have been out of the country until this last year:(

Good God Woffy we don't use the common monorail. No we use the underground

Every year that Pyramid Stage station is a bottle neck with Silver Hayes people and Other Stage / Arcadia people. Hope they've made some platform improvements and created a wider concourse.

I work in tourism in the Lake District, and thanks to this

I spend more time than I should have too (to be honest, any time explaining this is really too much time) explaining to people that no, there isn't a massive underground system covering Cumbria

That's mint.

So come on....any clues as to which nationality questions it the most?

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
