I was happy to see Leftfield at least once in my lifetime, graced with seeing them twice at Glasgow and Rockness. Never thought I would see them again, especially with new music. This is incredible news.

Rockness 2010? That was the best year of Rockness, great memories looking back, great shame it fell by the way side

An excellent year, also the year I finally got to see Aphex Twin. Never felt bass like it. An outstanding set from RDJ. It is a shame Rockness doesn't happen anymore, it could return but it has to go back to it's roots. Example and Plan B headlining with all the other mainstream bollocks went too far.

I didn't go the last year of it, line up was just a shambles compared to what it had been, certainly of Leftfield put on a show anything like that year at Rockness it's not be be missed

Just played that on 6 music - banging, great other headliner

I hope they don't put them on the Other because I don't particularly like that stage and I'm not sure just how big a crowd they would draw now.

West Holts should be big enough and the atmosphere would be a lot better.

A proper 90 minute rave over there on the Saturday night would possibly be the high point of the weekend.

This has to happen now!

Never historically been a huge fan - I was always more Orbital and Underworld for some reason. Anyway, saw them(/him) at Brixton about four years back and it was f@king brilliant. Agreed - a West Holts headline would be awesome!

You're thinking about it wrong. It's all about the BASS. The Other is usually much beefier. Imagine how great it would be with a smaller crowd so you could get close to those bass bins? West Holts is great and all, but Other would be LOUDER!!

EDIT: But yeah, they're probably not big enough these days.

Haha, yeah fair point.

The West Holts could do with new speakers if they do headline.

Did they tour 2 years ago?

I know they toured in 2010 because I came home early from travelling to see them headline Electric Picnic and then saw them indoors in Dublin, which was incredible.

I think Neil Barnes did a DJ set tour at festivals two years ago under the guise 'Leftfield (DJ Set)' but I don't think they played live as a band.

I might see if I can get some info out of him on Twitter

I saw them about four years ago at a Brixton Academy all-nighter. As to money-making or not, it was for charity.

Yeah that was probably near the end of the tour I saw them.

He's been making the album for the last 3 years.

Actually playing in Ireland next Friday but it's just too far away from where I'm based
