I have the same query .........mrs chuckles has insisted on investing in a ticket for these showers

"Has anyone ever used the Club Class showers? Considering making the effort as we're going for the Th,ursday this year and a half-decent shower would be just the ticket if the weather is close to last year's (which it won't be, obviously), but I've read mixed reviews?"

Any ideas anyone?

I'm sure someone on here would have gone club class but im pretty sure all the regulars haven't user it before. Scruffy buggers the lot of us !

Tramps!

Haha, on a sort of related note...we've spotted a couple of Emperor's upgrades going cheap but it says Friday-Saturday. Would we be able to use them along with the Thursday entry ticket, or is a Thursday ticket for the Emperor's Field something else again?

You'd imagine with the festival promoting everything green they should be able to accommodate a bicycle.

One thing I would suggest, if your planning to stay off site I'd ask them about a pass out of the festival so you can come and go.

Hi Ramragon,

Yeah i emailed them a while back and despite initially them saying that no pass outs were available, to which i replied "Well i hope the thousand people who stay off site know that they will have to sleep under a tree at the festival site as they're not getting out once they get in".........they then emailed me back saying that she would put our names on a list. I imagine this list is at the front gate? Who knows, really.

Can I ask what may seem a stooopid question?

Other than the cost difference (which is minimal) is there any advantage to buying a car parking ticket in advance? Only I may not be needing one so don't want to buy one in advance just in case!

Thanks, Al :)

Nope - you go through the same entrance, they have just had three lanes you go into, whether you have a ticket or not.

Its not quicker/slower or otherwise!

Hey all, I'm new to this site but finding it really useful!

Just a question about the shuttle bus stop....I'm arriving in my car on Thursday but my friend's joining me on Friday evening and is coming by train and then the KC shuttle bus; I'm hoping to meet her off the bus as she'll probably have have lots to carry - how far is the drop off point from the entrance?

Cheers

Hello and welcome to the forum, pleased ur finding it useful and if you've got anything to ask then feel free

Drop off points normally next to the campervan field. The enterance is up the hill, probably 10 minutes walk.

If she's travelling up on the train they did a shuttle run from the bottom of the hill last year in golf cart thingys with folks and their bags free for train users

They'll probably do that again so you might only need to meet her at the enterance gate

Thanks Thurlow! That would be great if they did the same thing this year too :-)

Kendal Calling sounds like quite a friendly festival....hopefully I might be able to ask folk around me in the campsite to help me put up my tent if I start to get tied up in knots?!?! I'm hoping it won't be a problem but depends how windy it is!@!!

Them wee carts were a god-send! I really wanted a shot of driving one but the guy was having none of it :(

Was the House Party or that opened late on the Thursday last year? Doesn't seem to be mentioned on any of the posters.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
