not really digging the two new songs that much, though. seem to have gone for a bit of a more streamlined / mainstream sound and removed the weirdness of their last album, which is a shame

The new one definitely has that same old sound in the production, the beats, it's there... Holding out a lot of hope still.

Just listened to the new Panda Bear, didn't strike me that much to be honest. I liked Tropic of Cancer & Principle Real especially though, would probably check him out if he showed up somewhere.

Their three existing albums are a pretty much perfect journey through their sound, so I wonder how they'd approach a new record, 20 years after the last one. Slowdive playing When The Sun Hits was one of my highlights from a great year at Latitude last year, the sun was setting as they played, so when I turned round and looked out the back of the tent, the sky was glowing golden, soundtracked by that amazing and appropriate song.

I tried to quote someone who put a link on the last page but yeah I'm excited. I'm not a massive fan of Pygmalion, I like it but I much prefer the first two - Souvlaki is one of my absolute favourites.

Yeah Frontier Psychiatrist is a class tune.

It's such a crap reason I know, but something about the high pitched voice in Since I left You put me off.

Having said that, I listened to the album a few times recently when my mates were discussing an all-time list of electronic albums and it is still up there with the very best.

More than 3,500 samples on one record... hard to know how you even go about putting that together
