Hi Girls & boys,

Be careful when you buy tickets on forums. One of the people here on the RW forum is already scammed (read few pages back).

Not everyone who wants to sell a ticket has bad intentions, but please be careful.

Cheers!

Got 2 x combi tickets + camping for sale as some things came up that restrict me from attending :( ....contact me if interested.

Be careful with people like that. Its first post in efestivals and offering tickets. Same way to proceed as the user who scammed one guy here.

Maybe stay in The Hive Wednesday night then move first thing Thursday?

Me and friends tried staying in a closed campsite in 2013 and got moved. Ended up sleeping in our car on the side of the road. Worst night's sleep I have ever had haha!

Good question actually because they would take your XL Camping ticket off you at the entrance and give you a wristband.

My question would be, can you enter and set up in the normal campsites with an XL Camping Wristband?

Might be worth dropping RW and email or tweet?

My understanding is that you can't.

Once you camp in one campsite you have to stay their or other wise buy new camping tickets.

From the rockwerchter site.

Upon arrival at a campsite, you will be given a campsite wristband on production of both a valid campsite and festival ticket. The campsite ticket will be scanned. This wristband does not only guarantee you a spot at that particular camping facility, it also features the number of the facility, so you should never have a hard time finding your campsite and tent. Each facility has a different manager and they are not interlinked at all. In other words, a wristband of facility A1 does not allow you to stay at facility A3 and vice versa. The manager will not let you in or make you buy a new ticket.

Some of my friends decided not to go to Werchter, so I have tickets for sale.

100% trusted because I will be on the festival. We could meet together and you could check your tickets. Be aware that buying RW tickets from gays on the internet is risky. I lost my money last year.

If somebody is looking for tickets (one or more) please let me know.

@scalasca You couldn't move from one campsite to another. After you got a campsite wristband, your campsite ticket is not valid anymore. Choosing campsite is a part of the fun.

is it possible to move after entering the hive?

Once you're on the Hive they take your ticket and give you a Hive wristband. You can't get in other campsites with this wristband.

If you want to move you have to buy a second camping ticket.

OR you can try to stay 1 night at camping Klokkenberg. It's a non official RW campsite which is open all days of the year. Ofcourse you have to pay for that night but maybe it's a cheaper way instead of buying another ticket.

Cheers and welcome to Belgium ;)

Hi All

Can you help a Werchter Newbie please , trying to work out if its worth pre-booking Food/Drink tokens and how many

I'm there for the 4 days , I'm guessing 1 token = a small beer . 2 tokens = a large Beer and perhaps 2/3 token for say Burger and chips

so 20 would go pretty fast , Thanks for nay feedback

It's hard to guess how many coupons will be best for you. But I really don't think that buying many of them is the best option. Diference in price is only 0.10 euro per coupon (presale vs festival).

You must know that outside festival area, on the main street which is really close to the festival gates, there will be many food booths not related with the festival organizer. They accept only cash but food is cheaper than on the festival area. And you must know that festival's food booths are open only when gates are open (from 1 pm AFAIR).

So in the fact you will need coupons just for beer and food during concerts. In the morning you will eat on your campsite (paying cash) or in the main street (paying cash too). And during longer breaks between concerts you could still exit to the main street. It will be cheaper.

ps. I do not know if there is something like a large beer in Belgium

Hi,

I maybe getting this wrong but is it the case that once you're in one campsite, you can't just wander about into different campsites?

I think that's correct.. the entrance to each campsite has a wristband check. They are lenient during the day but effectively, you should keep to your own campsite.

I think that's how it works? Never actually tried roaming in to different camps.

For anyone interested in the ticket I am selling, it is now on Viagogo as the cheapest available.

Combi Ticket

https://www.viagogo.co.uk/secure/buy/SelectQuantity?ListingID=24915302&EventID=731331&quantity=1

XL Camping

https://www.viagogo.co.uk/secure/buy/SelectQuantity?ListingID=24915446&EventID=731337&quantity=1

I assumed this would be the most secure way of selling the ticket. It's an instant E-ticket download, I can't remember the face value but it's not far off.

Cheers!

Correct.

Only the Hive is a campsite which is run by Rock Werchter. All other campsites are from seperate organizations (under the coordination of RW). They normaly won't let you in with another campsite wristband because they earned no money from you ;)

1 coupon = 25cl beer

I think 2 for chips or burger

All other things like pizza/wok/vegetarian are +3 coupons

No large beers on the festival site. Belgians are proud on their beer, they like it cold and perfect. Quality before quantity ;)

Another completely random question! Do any TV stations broadcast Rock Werchter live / is there a livestream? Got some friends at home who want to watch and I know they often do stuff like this with european fests like Rock Am Ring.

Tv broadcast is worthless, the full weekend gets mashed into a 3-4h broadcast, with over 1/3 being boring interviews and atmosphere reports.

Skynet is doing live streaming every year, I'm sure RW will promote that on social media in the week of the festival.

Just another heads up guys, if anyone knows of someone requiring 1 Combi & 1 XL camping ticket, please DM me for the link to the sale.

I have reduced the price some more to keep it lower than anyone else. Desperate to get rid.

Thanks!

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
