Hey! I was a City fan since the day I was born! Suffered 35 years of perpetual disappointment before the money came in and we got some success! My grandparents ran a shop just round the corner from Maine road stadium, so City were very much my family's team, even through all the years of United's dominance. I also supported my local team where I grew up (Sutton United), so had a double helping of continual underachievement (apart from that FA cup win against Coventry!).

The first live match I ever saw was Chelsea v Arsenal at the Bridge in 1970 aged 7. Started supporting Chelsea for two reasons, they won 2-1, and my much older brother, who actually took me, is a big Arsenal fan! Sibling rivalry thing. Followed them ever since, despite being relocated up here.

It will be packed - a few might stay away on principle (though as we know no details of what really happened not sure what principle they are going on).

I will make my decision based on the lineup when it is out.................... though The Who are in my top ten of ""never seen, want to see"" so that gives a bit of a clue!

I don't know many songs from Weller. If he played stuff from the jam and the style council, I would be happy... But he won't. Mostly he played his recent solo songs. Not fussed about either of them but like Matty, I will see what's happening. I may leave early and get some kip before holiday.

Have you seen the latest Electric Picnic announcement HMV? BLUR!!! I've been looking closely at my finances coming up to Glastonbury and realistically won't be able to get an EP ticket till maybe mid - late July which may be too late to get the official tickets and don't fancy paying extortionate prices online!

However me and a friend were thinking of working the fest and just seeing if you or anyone you know has / had experience doing it? What are the hours like? What work do you do?

I posted about it twice yesterday ye bleedin numpty! We've had our tickets sorted since September. Not sure about volunteering, I would check on Boards.ie cos there's a few on there who have done it. There's a thread on EP that's fairly active over there.

Hahahaha numpty doesn't begin to describe it! I was studying last night so missed a couple of hours of efests action..

Seems fairly straight forward, 24hrs over the whole weekend in 4 x 6 or 3 x 8 hr shifts. Might apply anyway and see if I can scrounge the money together in the meantime!
