I am perplexed by all the bombing. What does it mean?

The weather 'bomb' is something the media have made up to make it sound awful.

In silly science terms it is when a high pressure pushes a low pressure up making the pressure fall very fast indeed. The end result is a big storm with r*** and strong winds.

Rather like we get every winter especially up north.
