To bring or not to bring?

Ive just recently got engaged and my missus really doesn't want to take the ring off for glastonbury and leave it at home

I just want to check is it safe enough to bring?

Theres no danger of it falling off as it fits perfectly and i imagine it would be safe to wear around site. I just want to be sure as i have heard of tent robberies which unfortunatley is to be expected, but is there ever any cases of muggings??

Thanks!

DO

NOT

BRING!

One accident, gone forever - nightmare. Expensive nightmare. The long-term festival going couples I known had cheapass replacements/copies they put on for festivals so they don't get freaked out at it not being there.

Congratulations though :) but yea don't risk this becoming an experience that gets referred to as an omen in arguments in years to come

My fingers swell when I get hot and I need to take my rings off. For that reason I leave my engagement and wedding ring at home, I'd be heartbroken if I lost them.

It's been a long time since you saw muggings at Glastonbury, it is a different sort of place now the fence is up (and there weren't that many before it). To be honest there are people walking round with much more expensive cameras than most engagement rings which would be much more tempting for muggers if they were there (which they are not).

I wouldn't consider NOT wearing mine. Like filmguy said, you've probably more chance of your house being burgled than losing it at Glasto. As long as it's not loose or anything it'll most likely be fine. You won't get mugged for it, only risk is it falling off and if she doesn't feel it's going to do that I'd wear it.

Absolutely no chance of her getting mugged for it - you're bringing her to Glastonbury not the bloody Bronx.

Even if it's fits perfectly, hands can swell or shrink if they're hot/cold, and I'd be paranoid about it slipping off on a chilly evening and ending up down a longdrop. That said, I don't take my rings off - I'd be too uncomfortable not wearing them.

I've got a very fabulous 3 diamond engagement ring that was my grandmothers - very pricey in sentimental value and financial cost. I am wearing it to Glasto, I will feel wrong not wearing it, it fits me perfectly and I'm comfortable wearing it.

Its personal choice I think.

As long as it's not going to slip off finger bring.. You can't live life worrying about losing this. I am taking my ring, very centimental value, I've worn it 20 years, but I take it EVERYWHERE

and that's the way it should be... Safer at glasto than a lot of places

My ring is in a right state. It's not even round anymore. I got prang about losing it last year and left it at home and felt weird the whole time was there. Wearing it this year though.
