I am in the very lucky but unexpectedly weird situation of going on hols to Spain the week before Glasto.

I have barely thought about holiday at all.

And i have no idea if i'll be able to switch off from thinking about GF and just lay about poncing around.

Its free booze though, so i might get fucko'd for a week as practice.

I'm fooking stoked:

Bored my dad for 45 minutes this morning with some in depth Glasto chat - I asked him to guess how many stages there are - he said six, oh how I lol'd - this game lasted for quite a while

Put my tent up yesterday, put it down again today - I think I may have to put it up again tomorrow

Frantically giving my liver a thorough workout

Reading Glastonbury Festival tales book

Posting pictures of my ticket on social networking sites

Starting a thread about what kind of hat I should get, even though I have already got one

Caning all available Glasto Spotify playlists

and so much more

Oh my GOD yes.

So I saw the chai thread today and was like OH MY GOD CHAI TEA!!!!!!!, then I was like OMG CLASH FINDER and I'm basically verging on being a small toddler after a pack of Skittles.

But. But.

My camping group have a little facebook group to talk about organising our shit. The buggers are not engaging with my excitement. I may have to disown them all.

I am sick with excitement. I literally cannot stop thinking about it , it's getting on my nerves a bit. I want to think about something else for a while , but it just keeps popping back in. COME OOOOOON !!!!!

My excitement seems to have vanished at the moment :( I've been stupidly excited up until a week or so ago and now it's just uni, uni, uni, non stop. I graduate this year with my last day being in a week and a half. Glastonbury is my graduation party for me, but the stupid amount of work I have to do and the fact that our degree show is in 5 days time seems to have taken my brain over.

In 5 days time I'll get back in Glasto mode hopefully :P

I've been excited since October. I can barely function now. If I meet somebody and haven't mentioned Glastonbury within a minute they are really lucky. Once I start I can't talk. Went to see the Inspiral Carpets in Manchester on Friday and within seconds of meeting some friends I was discussing who I would be seeing and who I wouldn't be seeing.

Sometimes I know I am boring people and I don't care. I figure most of the time I politely listen to the things they care about even though they don't interest me so they can just suck it up for a few more weeks!!!

My last full week in work before glastonbury. I have booked a day off next week.

I remember saying when we I booked next tuesday off "from my last full week, the countdown will REALLY be on"

Who was I kidding, the countdown was on since 6th October?!!

And its REALLY REALLY REALLLY on now.

I had an hours physio this morning, All I spoke about was Glastonbury! luckily the physio chap had been in past years and his friend live in Chedder who cycle to the site. Also some of his friends are teachers and they are finishing work Friday bombing it down to Glastonbury for the weekend.... They don't have work Monday as it's the last day of term on the Friday! (A well known private School)

Also checked what I will be sleeping on and told me to take my Goose feather duck down pillow.... Shame I'm going to have to do Physio exercises for when I wake up! So if you see a mad woman with a feather pillow and doing strange neck and back exercises each morning you know it me!!!

Real excitement has definitely set in for me, it did when flights were booked last week. I had my first Glasto dream last night..sadly it was about forgetting a bunch of stuff (inc. my tent) in my haste to get there, but it was still exciting!

Probably should start on a proper list to banish those worries about forgetting things..!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
