"they're just jealous they won't be heard by most ears at Glastonbury because most everyone will be watching Metallica." "they're some kind of shitty hipster synth band and the 'song' I listened to didn't even have any vocals." "LOL that sounds like my idea of Hell this is why i listen to bands like Iron Maiden Pantera Judas Priest Sabbath Deep purple etc because todays bands have lost their way i think technology is to blame its made people think its easy to make music when in fact it takes years of dedication and training to create real music." You actually see this one quite a lot. When Hot Chip wrote about Prince for The Guardian, the comments were filled with people furious that Hot Chip should dare to even presume that they're allowed to have an opinion on Prince. Saying they were a one album band for playing the black album and generally sounding like idiots. And while I appreciate their quote about lars being a terrible drummer, I've heard their drumming and it's boring. Not challenging in the least.
