How much lineup to come?

In the other lineup argument thread a lot of people are saying the major stages are basically all announced, but I'm sure Neil said at some point that only about half the main stages are out? I count about 85 acts on the lineup spread, probably quite evenly I reckon, across pyramid, other, park, west holts, john peel and silver hayes.

6 stages, about 30 acts each over the weekend. If most the main stages were out we should have 180?

What Neil said adds up better to me.

Plenty to come. If you take the 9 main stages from last year (as per the line-up poster) - Pyramid, Other, JP, West Holts, Acoustic, Park, Avalon, Leftfield, Glade, assume we have had 3 acts announced on each them then that makes 81 acts announced so far.

So basically, assuming there are 9 acts per day, then only one third has been announced so far on the main stages

.. and that ignores all the other stages including Williams Green and all the Dance areas, and doesn't take account of Wednesday and Thursday acts either.

So plenty of acts still to come.

I think 90% of the Other Stage and Pyramid is on that poster.

As for Glade, Silver Hayes, Avalon etc...still loads to come. There will be loads of DJs to come for example.

I wouldn't expect very many more massive names, apart from Metallica and the odd 1 or 2 late bookings for the 2 main stages earlier on.

Often find the second round of acts to contain more nice surprises than the main headline announcements we got a few weeks ago

Certainly the original list doesn't appear to include many if any Leftfield acts or many from Avalon and the smaller dance stages. Plus there is the acoustic tent which often has some big names doing more low key sets. And of course all the night time area stages and full theatre and Caberet line ups are still to come

I was specifically talking about the main 5 or 6 stages really. The ones where I'm likely to know everyone playing on them. I'd guess maybe 5/6 more for Pyramid, 10ish for Other and then at least half to 3 quarters of all the other big stages?

it's whatever date Glasto have agreed with Metallica &/or Soni.

I'm still quite happy with my guess of 16th May, tho I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was sooner.
