Asked it in the Questions subforum but thought it was worth asking here too: Anyone know if you can buy tonic water on-site, and for how much? G&T's my drink of choice and ideally I'd like to be able to avoid bringing mixer with me to save weight. However if it's impossible to get ahold of - or prohibitively expensive - I may have to reconsider.

The key mistake there is white wine - without carrying a cool box around all weekend you will be having it warm

I'm not sure there's been a Monday in years I've not seen a group of girls trying to stomach the last alcohol - the white wine they gave up on on Thursday. Easy pitfall it appears!

I opted for rose wine, a small improvement on warm white. If worst comes to worst I'll drink it with lemonade :beach:

I made some worthers original vodka a few years back and it was delightful.... So delightful that i completley forgot about a mixer and drank 70cl straight without even thinkin.... Needless to say i wasnt standing for much longer!

I did the same with a raspberry flavoured vodka and lost the best part of 6 hours and woke up face down inside my tent fully clothed. felt very sheepish the next day around my friends.

Im going asda or tesco tomorrow.. Anyone know the deals on vodka/flavoured vodka or spiced rum at either?

Have a look at their online shopping site, the deals are all the same as in store :).

Is flavoured gin nice? I've never tried it but might give it a go with berries

Normally I'd just do beer but it's going to be a lot of weight to carry and it'll take up a lot of space on the coach.

Give sloe gin a try (make it yourself or buy it) its perfect for a hip flask, very easy to drink straight because the sloe berries are so sweet.

Just taking spirits in with me this time. One litre of vodka. That's it. Ciders from the bar.

Nice and simple.

i'm considering this this year to lessen the load coming in to the festival. whilst i love cracking open a beer, carrying a crate of them always absolutely fucks me (and takes up valuable space)

That's what I'm going to do as well.

After last years Titp. Where I took three crates of beer with me and my trolley broke. I vowed to myself I'd never do that ever again.

perrys 20L kegs of cider just down the road from me , probably 3 of them between our group and a nice vodka and mixer for myself for when the cider gets too monotonous.

MUST BUY TROLLEY THIS YEAR.

1 bottle of spirits, 2x 3l boxes of Westons, 24x cans of something for two people.

I'll buy some Brothers and plenty of cocktails when I'm there.

It will all be gone by Sunday, apart from the spirits which never get finished.

I take all this on a trolley by coach. National Express love it.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
