Only act I am with Catfish and the bottleneck, me son is buzzing for Miles Kane though. I have seen him loads and always said it was to mental for him, so he is dead happy. Frank Turner, I saw him at V Fest about 3pm while eating noodles, retro not an headline act, hope they have blown the budget on the 3rd headliner.

Saw Frank Turner at T last year ( about 4pmish ) and really enjoyed it. Am surprised he is headliner though.

Craig Charles is back which has to be good. There is enough in there to keep me happy but hopefully the " biggie " is still to be announced. I thought I had 2manydjs as my one and only hit in the predictions thread but I now see I took them out. Hopefully a good few still to come.

Delighted with Suede, don't write them off as has-beens, they are superb live. Some other good stuff kicking around in there, and guaranteed some manic dancing to Craig charles and dub pistols.

Would like to clutch at some straws. Hopefully this conversation has taken place :

KC " Hi, Sir Jimmy of Cliff "

JC " This is he "

KC " We are Kendal Calling and we would like you to headline the Friday night of our festival "

JC " No problems. The tickets for my UK gigs go on sale on Friday 6th March so mums the word until a couple of days afters "

KC " OK we have a deal sir. many rivers will be crossed to keep it secret "

JC " see you in the fields "

I don't think that it's necessarily that someone pulled out last minute, they had problems last year when certain bands wanted to publicise their own tours and sell tickets before they get announced at festivals. I know Public Enemy caused them some problems last year so they delayed the announcement and then put the announcement out without them on it.

There could very well be someone booked that will be announced in the coming weeks

    • I mean Two Door Cinema Club from that era have sold out Crystal Palace Bowl and played the O2 before. So there are indeed precedents.   I guess it depends how far the 2000s/2010s indie hierarchy we go before we truly find one that ends up getting blue dot fever.

    • Jesse Malin at Manchester Halle St Peter's last night.   So good to see him back touring after the trauma he has been through, him and the backing band sounded great.   Support was Bason. I quite enjoyed him, but man, that guy cannot sing.
