I'm not sure if this has been posted in another thread but I just received the following email...

2 YEARS X 2 ALBUMS + (4 - 1) MEMBERS ÷ 850 VIDEOS + 141 SHOWS - 20% = 1 BUSY BAND

as 2 years of touring across two album draws to a close, we thought it was as good a time as any to look back at some of the things that have happened in this busiest period of sigur rós's life.

Does this rule them out? I was really yearning for an Other Stage headline slot

Sadly, I think so. They don't have anymore dates and they played quite a few festivals this summer, so it seems pretty certain that the tour's now over.

If there is one band I want to see at Glastonbury (aside form Floyd) then Sigur Ros is that band, they'd just be perfect wouldn't they? Would be so sad for them never to play again.

been listening to them all week. so good. shame that it looks like they won't be at Glastonbury next year, but come the next album / tour cycle i really hope they do it. perfect Other Stage headliner. it would be magical

There were great at Latitude in 2008

They weren't as good at Bestival last year - see above for reasons!

They can be one of the best live bands there is if everything goes to plan

Shame. Fortunately I managed to catch their Brixton shows and the iTunes performance this year. I'd challenge anybody to witness Popplagid live and then tell me they've seen anything better.

Having seen it twice this year, I'll take that challenge.

Doesn't do much for me. To be honest, this year's gigs were a bit 'The Jonsi Show' for my tastes.

Never listened to Sigur Ros, a mate described it as opera but with guitars..

Sounds interesting but haven't got round to dedicating any time to them..

If it IS guitar opera, I'd love to see it live
