Kasabian in Leicester

Doesn't need to, maybe he wants to. Noel's very good friends with Kasabian too, I don't think its that unlikely

It is though. I think he's rejected support slots at Stone Roses' Heaton Park stint and The Rolling Stones so he's unlikely to throw a performance in for Kasabian while he's probably busy working on new music. Damon Albarn is similarly unlikely.

I think the courteeners are the main support

Yeah I think so too. The R+L delay thing kind of makes sense now. Beneath that it'll probably be By The Rivers and Jersey Budd or something.

Personally I don't mind who is supporting them as it's all about kasabian's home coming. Got the new album yesterday and I am enjoying it, different to their other stuff but very good

Yeah, I just hope he's joking... I saw them support RHCP at Knebworth and they were terrible!!

Can we have the Paolo Nutini rumours back please?

Yeah I didn't enjoy their set in '12 at R&L either. Could have put me to sleep to be honest.

I'd much rather Paolo tbh, shame there's no chance of that :P

From me it sounds like he doesn't know who the support acts are but thinks The Maccabees are one of them.

For those questioning why aren't the support acts announced.

Let me lay it out for you. LiveNation running this thing yeah, 35k capacity, they believed that Kasabian were big enough to sell this out without the announcement of support, they were right, so now they don't have to spend big money to help sell out the gig, meaning more profit, obviously they'll want to book someone who the lads [Kasabian] think are a good warm up for the crowd, to set the tone.

No chance in hell you guys are getting big support for this, what I've just said are the facts.

Absolutelty bang on the money with this. It was always going to sell out because they're coming home, and from that article it seems clear the lads have no idea who's up ahead of them. At the end of the day though, this is all about Kasabian playing a big show in their home city, that's what people have bought into, any decent support will be a bonus for me

Hmm, just gonna chuck it out there, The Specials are festival exclusives at IOW this weekend, and if they're announcing the next few days that could mean early next week when exclusivity wont really matter?

Mind you they charge more for their own gigs than the ticket price of this one, so probably not.

Tickets arrived in Belgium and I'm counting the days ....

It would be great to have someone like Noel or Damon Albarn opening, I think they have a good relationship since they work together for things like teenage cancer trust. But if not ... who cares? Weather forecast is very positive, so we're making it a great weekend in England. I hoped the English national team would play Friday evening so I could watch it somewhere on a giant screen in London, but we're not that Lucky.

Didn't he just say that it was hard to book acts, because a lot of bands have certain catches in their contract, so it wasn't that easy? Might have mis-heard him, but don't think he said that the bands they have are part of that issue.

I'm sure he mentioned festivals and exclusives, not sure why he'd bring that up if the supports didn't have that problem.
