What's going on with The Joy Formidable? Are they recording a new album or summat?

They played a small show in Cardiff recently I think

I saw them this weekend last year and they said at that gig they were about to start work on new material. Guess they're just taking some time over it. They've released some EP in Welsh or something recently?

Oh that's cool, short album tour though. I hope the new material wasn't just that Welsh language EP. Not that doing that's a bad thing as SFA's Welsh stuff was always great.

Echo & The Bunnymen just announced a nice long tour for late Nov/Dec if anyone's interested.

Also Gogol Bordello are coming back in December for a few dates too - probably going to go as I only caught the very end of the Reading set

it would be a hundred times better if they stopped acting like Alex Turner was some sort of deity. After R&L they must have posted at least 5 different articles about their set, it's worse than Kerrang with MCR. Maybe they'll give over when Arctics disappear for a bit to write the new album
