Where is Mike99?

I'm not actually called Yoghurt on a Stick in real life. I know, I know. The vast majority of the time I'd have no qualms about using my real name. The only thing that stops me really is the idea that my work might get to know, and put two and two together and conclude that I am surplus to requirements. Other than that, you'd get to hear the same old meaningless drivel off me in real life as you would on here.

Oh, go on then, you can have my first name. It's Kevin. A cross I have had to bear for 48 long years now. What kind of a c**t calls their son Kevin. Bastards.

It twas I that sussed who Mike99 is and told Scotty/Neil last year at the meet....and no I am not about to reveal who he is on here. I will say he has been extremely ill this year and this may well be the reason he has not posted. Like him or not, I'd not kick a man when he was down.

People using their own picture as an avatar disturbs me. Like who gives a fuck what you look like? I always wonder why people choose to do that, it's going further than not caring that people know who you are into actively promoting yourself. Maybe you can shed some light neilloggie.

I worry that Norman Lovett may have violent thoughts towards me.

Edited to add: Ziggy (or usually just Zig, 'coz people are really lazy when it comes to articulation round our way :)) is my real life nickname. So an almost pseudonym?

I am insanely jealous of your name. But then my names shite, so you have to put it into perspective. Fortunately, my girlfriend started calling me Big Man quite some time ago (and no, unfortunately, it's not for those reasons) and it has now stuck with a lot of the people I know. This is much much better than being called Kev. It's even got to the point whereby the owner of the stately pile where we are getting married is using Big Man in all her correspondence rather than Kevin, which makes me smile when I see it.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
