Resale "later on in the year"?

an update from SeeTickets, according to MusicWeek:

“There will be resales later on in the year for customers who don’t pay off their deposits".

is there any truth in this?

for the record, we missed the tickets for the first year (we were able to get to the payment page, put all the credit card details in and the- twice- the page didn't load, until we got the "session timed out" horrible page-SHIT). as we're coming from italy, it's pretty difficult for us to wait until april, cause at that point the airplane tickets could cost so much that we can't afford them...

You can't pay your deposits off until April, so don't read too much into this as imagine its a mistake

Perhaps they mean bookings where the deposit payment has been later rejected for some reason? That has to be feasible.

I think they are referring to bookings taken on the phone where no payment has been sent and failed debit card transactions.

Perhaps it's the the Glasto 'year'....which runs from 1st July to 30th June....

If your card declines they cancel your order, its safe to say that could easily happen in a fair number of transactions, so its possible a few hundred could go back up. cant imagine they'd announce it though.

Had another though on this - perhaps people bought with coach travel on Thursday and got normal tickets on Thursday have now cancelled the coach ones. Leaving See worried the coaches are undersold?

Doubtful, remember you had to pay for the coach ticket too so quite a lot of money to wait until spring for.

last year post the main sale in april there were at least half a dozen mini sales (not always annouced) during the run up to the fest. So don't give up. just be persistant, try the page often and keep your fingers crossed x

I don't think so, once your registration number has been used you couldn't buy another ticket.

It's, obviously, always been the case that if your card gets declined or payment doesn't go through for some reason (possibly fraudulent use of cards, etc.) that those tickets go back in the pot. Perhaps there is an unusually large number of failed transactions this year meaning there are enough tickets to warrant a resale? Possible but seems highly unlikely. I agree with those posters thinking they are referring to the "Glastonbury Year".
