Resale "later on in the year"?

It's, obviously, always been the case that if your card gets declined or payment doesn't go through for some reason (possibly fraudulent use of cards, etc.) that those tickets go back in the pot. Perhaps there is an unusually large number of failed transactions this year meaning there are enough tickets to warrant a resale? Possible but seems highly unlikely. I agree with those posters thinking they are referring to the "Glastonbury Year".

i remember back in 2009 (tickets fo glasto 2010) after the first sale of october, a few tickets went on sale in early november (or late october, i don't remember exactly) announced. i wonder if there's still a chance of something like that to happen again (it didn't happen in 2010 or 2011, but i could be wrong)

I keep having this overriding feeling there will be a tiny secret sale sometime soon, keep checking the page (maybe I'm in denial haha). But just what sticks in my head is that on the Thurs coach package sale, they sold out then suddenly started to appear again. Was thinking this may be to do with rejected cards etc and with 15,000 then and 120,000 on Sunday, surely there were a fair few rejected transactions. Although, would they have went into the pot immediately on Sunday or not counted and sorted until later as I'm sure it was pandemonium at See on the day?

Oooh! This is so maddeningly tempting to believe! I only hope that if there *is* a tiny secret sale, that we hear about it here first and can get our collective feets in the door! (Those of us who are still in abject shock at missing out on Sunday, of course).

As well as watching the site it is worth calling the phone line from time to time. I was totally desperate in 2004 or 2005 (unsuccessful both times), but I called the phone number and the person I spoke to checked rather than just saying no. On one of the calls I asked whether there were ever any there or if I was wasting their time and mine and they said "somebody called earlier and definitely got a ticket, I was as surprised as them that it went through". I didn't get the impression I was being wound up.

Mind you, that was nearly a decade ago!!!

Seetickets weren't even the provider in 2004/2005, it was a company called aloud/wayahead.

Back then, it WAS possible to buy tickets post-sell out if they existed. My mate cancelled so I was able to cancel my order of two and re-order one over the phone, after the 'sell out'. Them were t'days!

I had this problem last year, coming from the West Coast of the US. I only got tickets in one of the small resales in May. It made the planning more difficult because a lot of the decent (and reasonably priced flights) were sold out, but flight prices actually weren't that much more expensive than they are looking now for booking for 2014. With the festival being in the middle of summer, nothing is particularly cheap anyway.

Good luck, I know that situation sucks!

    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
    • Cat Power Wilco Whatever combination of Avalon Emerson and Aldous I manage to see Ken Pomeroy Sparks with an honourable mention to Neve Cariad
    • Saw em live back in march, and they were bloody marvellous - all flames, ghouls and skulls on sticks. And so tight musically! (i'm a Pleasure To Kill man in terms of albums, mind)
