Just out of interest, has the last couple of weeks seen your biggest increase in subscribers to date? Seems to be a lot of people (myself included) who are only just realizing the option to support the site (get rid of ads) exists.

I've not counted things up, but judging by the re-subscriptions that have gone thru in the last week I'd guess that slightly more subscribed around this time last year.

Got a "Your automatic payments have been suspended" email rather than an automatic renewal as expected. Should I just go and re-subscribe from scratch or is there anything you can tick your end Neil to make it go through? Cheers.

As Yoghurt has already said, you get to use the website (both the forums and the main part of the site) free of all 3rd party advertising.

It's offered as an option because some people didn't want to have the ads, but also didn't want to freeload by using ad-blockers. This site costs a lot to run, and it needs to be funded one way or another.

Thanks Neil and efestivals peeps - Just managed to renew my subscription, eventually - jeeez, it's taken me at least 5 attempts over last few (ten) days to update my card details on paypal and get the payment through - had the suspended e-mail too?? Techno retarded I am I reckon...

Hooooooraaaay, I'm ad free again and I love this site and appreciate what Neil & Co do to keep this site going, not to mention all the lovely glasto peeps and what they bring to the site, so I aim to continue to support you guys even if don't post too often, but I do 'nose' around daily...

Just got back from holiday and I have been renewed - no email (well may have gone to spam or I may not have reached it yet) - but renewed automatically
