The View From The Afternoon. They should open with this imo, first track off of their debut album. Like The Strokes opening with Is This It?

Wasn't that actually the reason that they opened with it at their Don Valley gigs in 2011?

The View From the Afternoon straight into Brianstorm at Don Valley was awesome. Followed by a load more uptempo stuff to keep the momentum going. DIWK was a great opener last year, though, and I hope they stick with that. For me, Dont Sit Down... was the highlight last year (and A Certain Romance at Don Valley).

Riot Van, A Certain Romance, Dancing Shoes

Balaclava, Do Me A Favour

My Propeller, Crying Lightning, Dangerous Animals, Dance Little Liar, Jeweller's Hands, Cornerstone, Pretty Visitors

Reckless Serenade, Suck It And See, That's Where You're Wrong, Black Treacle

Arabella, R U Mine, Do I Wanna Know, Mad Sounds, Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High, Snap Out Of It, I Wanna Be Yours, One For The Road

Is what they should play. Plus a B-side or two if time allows

WPSIATWIN: View From the Afternoon, A Certain Romance, When the Sun Goes Down

FWN: Do Me a Favour, 505

Humbug: Crying Lightning, Fire and the Thud, Dance Little Liar

SIAS: Black Treacle, That's Where You're Wrong

AM: Do I Wanna Know?, R U Mine?, Arabella, Mad Sounds, Snap Out Of It, Knee Socks, I Wanna Be Yours

That'd be ideal. But no doubt they'll play One for the Road and Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High, cause they released the shits as singles. Bastards.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
