I got free tickets/very cheap tickets & did reunions with my Southern mates camping or on day release.

Reading is as easy to get to as Leeds, from Leeds.

I was in Leeds in 2007. I plan on going to Reading fairly soon, as I plan on taking in a lot of the festivals I haven't been to.

Leeds has more going on after the music, but Reading creates its own fun in the form of the random campsite action & parties that you don't tend to get at Glasto or Bestival.

I went to Leeds every year from 2001 to 2012, then for 2 days in 13. Last year I didn't bother and probably won't again this year.

I'm doing download, but I might go for a day depending on who's booked for the day refused are playing.

Unfortunately not. I have some European friends that I met whilst travelling in Asia that want me to to Hellfest & Southside, I'm really tempted despite a language barrier.

It was 30 quid cheaper, which went towards drinks.

Next year will be my third Reading (so relatively a newbie), also thinking of Download this year because the deposit scheme at £35 a month makes it seem a lot more appealing.

Ah fair enough. Mine was because in 2011 I had no one to camp with as I was probably a bit young, so got a day ticket for The Strokes and Pulp and met my brother's group there. Then after finding out about Muse doing OOS later on had to get a ticket for that.
