I was pointing out the futility in obsessing over a vague and meaningless PR comment. If that upsets some people's delicate sensibilities then perhaps they need toughening up in preparation for the real world.

A few weeks ago I had a scan of the Sonisphere boards to check if there was any Soni rumours; there weren't any but some user was saying that R+L have Foos, Kasabian and Florence lined up. Obviously I thought nothing of this at the time, and I guess I still don't. Anyway earlier I was looking at Ringrocker (think a much less reliable German eFests) to see if there's any news and rumours on European festivals because I've been trying to decide if any particular European festival takes my fancy. I checked on R+L to check out who it reckons is a rumour for the hell of it. It had Arcade Fire, Slipknot... Foos, Florence and Kasabian!

I don't think that'll happen of course and I wasn't gonna mention it in case people got carried away with it but that's kinda curious. I wonder if they'd get as bad a rap as the Blink repeat.

I don't think that's ever been in doubt, the difference is that I'm aware of it. Being aware of and comfortable with one's flaws and knowing how to deal with having them pointed out is an important part of becoming a rounded and well-adjusted member of society; some of those here clearly aren't there yet so I'm happy to help along that path. It's only because I care. I couldn't in all conscience let it slide as I'm aware of the damage that such behaviour displayed on these forums could do later in life, and I genuinely worry about all of you. I'm happy to sacrifice my own profile in order to help, I don't expect any thanks, the knowledge that I have sub-consciously helped you become better person when you grow up is enough for me. I've said it before but it's worth re-iterating, in many ways I'm a lot like Jesus.
