Can't see Enter Shikari coming back in the same slot they played this year though. I'd love for them to feck off for a few years - not a fan and they're becoming boring to see on the lineup. Who care's if you're a festival favourite? We need a bloody break from you.

You'd think, wouldn't you? But I would put them in any lineup prediction I made now, for every year going forward. The bookers simply don't give a shit when it comes to them, it's crazy.

I guess they've become a safe booking as they always get a bloody big crowd. A shame because every time I've seen them (not voluntarily, it's either been as a support or my mates were catching them and there was no one else on I wanted to see so got dragged along) they've been pretty bad.

They're a good booking for the festival, just not so much the minority of us that want to see something different year in year out. The likes of Shikari and Frank Turner are really popular with the crowd and are probably quite cheap bookings too in comparison to bands like Imagine Dragons, Vampire Weekend who play similar slots

When I saw Shikari I thought they were really good tbf, but I do really like them, bar the last 2 songs they released which are utter tripe

At least with Frank, he went and brought a whole new band to the festival - that Enter Shikari Sound System thing was more or less a DJ set thing from what I've heard of it (wasn't there, was having the time of my life watching Biffy) :P

    • This. I always read in awe the hatred toward the festival and Gerendai.  I see no chance of it being cancelled, except if something worse happens, like the whole electric grid collapses or something. But that’s not really a case. Worst case scenario is that the whole thing will be ran by diesel generators for the sake of the environment.
    • they are shutting down the nuclear power plant until Friday ; sziget starts 3 days later plus, they said they will have to import energy.    So I see no point in cancelling an event that will make them lose money
    • Finally a sensible suggestion for the legends slot
    • Definitely up for this next year. Would rule Megadeth out for Download though
    • My fellow Hungarians always find a reason why Sziget should be cancelled every single years Now it’s at least a bit valid but I would say it’s highly unlikely.
